Inertia Base Frames
Model IBF, Inertia Base Frame, provides an integrated system of equipment support, anchorage and vibration containment.
Inertia Base Frames are designed to control vibration from common mechanical room equipment including: Chilllers, compressors, heat pumps, centrifugal fans, diesel generator sets, etc.
Each vibration isolation system is custom designed using specific equipment information such as operating speed, weight and its physical location within the structure. Inertia base frames are constructed using 18 gauge galvaneal steel frame reinforced with one half inch rebar, six inches on center. Isolator mounting plates are integral to the base and are pre-welded at the correct isolator mounting height. Each isolator is selected with respect to its load and required deflection. Free standing and housed springs are available.
